Have Your Say on Housing in Dumfries and Galloway for 2025-2030

Local Housing Strategy Survey Launched

Dumfries and Galloway Council is preparing a new Local Housing Strategy, which will outline how housing and housing services will be delivered in the area over the next five years. The strategy aims to establish a vision for homes and communities, while also setting priorities to address key housing challenges.

The new strategy will focus on several housing-related issues, including:

  • Increasing the range of housing options to meet local needs
  • Developing communities that are well-connected to transport, services, and employment
  • Improving housing choice and affordability
  • Supporting people with health conditions and disabilities to live independently
  • Enhancing the energy efficiency of homes and addressing climate change
  • Improving the quality and condition of existing housing stock

To ensure the strategy reflects the views of local residents, a survey has been launched to gather feedback on the housing issues that matter most to the community. The survey asks respondents how they think resources, investment, and services should be allocated to address these issues.

Complete The Survey

All residents of Dumfries and Galloway are encouraged to participate in the survey, which is expected to take no more than five minutes to complete. Responses will be used for research purposes only, and individual households will remain anonymous.
