CAPITAL VISIT . . . a large party of pupils from Langholm Academy have returned from an educational trip to London which took in the UK Parliament.
During a tour of the Palace of Westminster, the group was greeted by Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale MP David Mundell, who later hosted a question and answer session for the pupils in one of the committee rooms.
The Langholm party enjoyed a varied programme in the city, which also included visits to Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, the London Dungeons, views from the London Eye next to the River Thames and a theatre trip to see the hit musical ‘Wicked.’
