Investigations are continuing following an explosion within a housing estate in Ayr. Two adults and two children remain in hospital in a serious condition.
Police received a report of an explosion on Gorse Park in the Kincaidston area of Ayr around 7.10pm on Monday, 18 October.
Emergency services attended and a number of houses were evacuated.
A family of four were taken to hospital. A 43-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy are currently within the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. A 47-year-old man is in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. A boy, 11, is within the Royal Hospital for Children.
Chief Inspector Derrick Johnston, area commander for South Ayrshire, said: “This is a complex incident and a number of different agencies are working together to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“Our thoughts are with the family and everyone within the local community affected by this.
“A joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is being carried out.”
