Support in Mind Scotland Dumfries & Galloway is hosting a Mental Health Festival for the first time in Dumfries on the 10th October 2014 – World Mental Health Day.
In the lead up to the day there will be a Pub Quiz in the Granary on the 8th from 8-10pm.
To join with the global celebration we have a local gathering of Statutory and 3rd Sector organisations who will share information about services to support Mental Health. This will be in the ‘Bakers’ Oven’ High Street Dumfries.
There will be an exhibition of photos and pictures from people who use these services and from children in primary schools who have been asked to draw a picture that illustrates what keeps them well. Activities such as arts & crafts, music, drama, healthy eating, mock tails and a pop-up café will be held within the Electric Theatre, 28 Munchies Street Dumfries.
All the activities are free.
Both venues will be open from 9am -4pm on the 10th of October. There will be a drumming session outside The Electric Theatre around 5pm to bring the festival to an end.
