My name is Kristoff Henderson and I have recently moved in the area with my wife. I have been interested in Photography for many years and more recently I have started doing some filmmaking.
I have just started exploring Documentary filmmaking and last year got the opportunity to travel to Brazil with an independent film company to assist with shooting a documentary in Sao Paulo.
I am hoping to do a project here in Dumfries and Galloway.
My aim is simple – to tell stories of the people that live in the area. I want to create a series of short (no longer than 3min in length) films about people who live and/work in this area. This is where I need your help – I would like you to contact me to let me know if you are willing to be involved.
I need to collect stories from all different people in order for this to be a success. So if you have a story you would like to tell, or know of someone who does please get in touch. It can be about anything that has happened in your life, big or small. Travel, charity work, meeting someone, memories of the area, an interesting job, involvement in sport or a community, a hobby you are passionate about, someone that lives in the area that inspires you– anything! Young or older I want to hear from you, it can be a funny story, a sad story or a happy story, just as long as it is your story.
If you don’t want to appear in the film yourself you don’t have to, I can even get someone else to voice your story if you would prefer. My idea would be to organise everything over the phone or e-mails and then come to meet you one day to carry out the actual interview and filming, keeping it as short as possible to avoid taking up too much of your time.
