Galloway and West Dumfries MSP, Finlay Carson, recently visited the North West Resource Centre in Lincluden to hear more about the services on offer.
During the visit, Finlay spent time speaking to staff about their work at the Resource Centre and heard about the various activities that take place all year round.
Finlay also got the chance to speak with learners to hear more about their experiences of the service. They impressed upon him the difference that participating in the courses had on their outlooks, with courses ranging from IT to literacy and numeracy.
The visit to the North West Resource Centre is part of a series of similar visits that Finlay is carrying out during the Scottish Parliament’s summer recess.
Over that time, the MSP is visiting businesses and organisations across Galloway and West Dumfries to discuss ways in which he can support their work and find out more about the activities and services on offer in his constituency.
Following his visit to the Centre, Mr Carson said:
“I really enjoyed my visit to the North West Resource Centre. It is an excellent facility that offers a wide range of services and activities to the local community.
“I was really pleased to be able to speak to some of the adults who participate in the courses at the centre and to hear, first hand, their experiences.
“It is a great resource and I commend the staff for running such a valuable and beneficial facility with activities for all age groups”.
