The west of the Dumfries and Galloway was in the royal spotlight thanks to a Senior Charge Nurse working at the Galloway Community Hospital.
Suzanne White recently attended an evening reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by Princes Charles.
As part of celebrations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the NHS, Suzanne was selected to attend following a nomination by the Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland.
Suzanne says: “I was absolutely delighted to attend and extremely proud to represent NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
“It is something that will stay with me for a long time. It came as a huge boost to myself, and to the whole team at the Galloway Community Hospital.”
Gail Meier, Lead Nurse, says: “It is fantastic that her work at Galloway Community Hospital has been recognised and that of the teams that Suzanne works with.
“Suzanne was a great ambassador for NHS Dumfries and Galloway.”
