The busy period for the volunteers of Galloway Mountain Rescue continued today (18th September) with police Scotland contacting the team at around 14:00hrs.
15 team members from all over Dumfries & Galloway attended the incident at Screel Hill, close to Castle Douglas. A member of the public had injured themselves and was unable to walk to safety.
Galloway MRT and the Scottish Ambulance Service assessed the casualty and carried out a stretcher evacuation to a waiting ambulance.
The incident was closed at approx 16:30hrs.
