Inspire Youth Dance will be performing flashmob style on Sunday and running a free dance class on Thursday in Newton Stewart.
Inspire Youth Dance Flashmob and Dance Class is part of Voluntary Arts Week – a national celebration of creative activity taking place across the UK and Republic of Ireland from 15 – 24 May 2015.
The idea behind this special week is to highlight the fantastic creativity that regularly takes place in villages, towns and cities – and encourage newcomers to have a go.
On Sunday young dancers from Inspire Youth Dance will be performing a short dance routine at half time at Galloway Thistle’s under 15’s league champion’s trophy presentation game at Blairmount Park. Adults and children will have the opportunity to learn the dance routine at a free dance class lead by the young dancers at Douglas Ewart High School, Gym the following Thursday.
“Inspire Youth Dance delighted to be involved with Voluntary Arts Week and are thrilled that Galloway Thistle have given permission for our dancers to perform at the match on Sunday. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to share their individual skills and talents with each other, with the support of the community. Inspire Youth Dance Flashmob performance will take place at half time at Under 15’s League Champions Trophy Presentation Game, kicks off at 2pm at Blairmount Park, Newton Stewart Sunday 17th May 2015.
Inspire Youth Dance Free Dance Class will take place at Douglas Ewart High School, Gym, 4.30pm-6.30pm on Thursday 21st May 2015. Children and Adults are welcome. Children 7 years & under must be accompanied by an adult.
