Kirkcudbright kids sing for Parliament
Primary Sevens from Kirkcudbright Primary visited the Scottish Parliament today (Thursday) to sing for MSPs.
The group attended First Minister’s Questions before entertaining MSPs in the Parliament’s Garden Lobby with renditions of ‘The Circle of Life’, ‘Loch Lomond’ and Caledonia.
The pupils and their teachers were hosted in Parliament by South Scotland MSP Emma Harper.
Ms Harper commented:
“It’s always an absolute pleasure to have school groups into the parliament – something to look forward to.
“The kids went into the chamber to watch First Minister’s Questions and went on a tour of the building, but the highlight was definitely performing in the Garden Lobby for a crowd of MSPs, government ministers and the Presiding Officer – and the performance was pitch perfect!
“They got to meet the crowd afterwards and were excited to speak to Ken Macintosh the PO, Transport Minister Humza Yousaf, and many others.
“I can’t wait to do it all again soon.”
