Kirkcudbright Rotary last Tuesday 22nd Sept were the recipients of a most inspiring and thought provoking presentation by Ruth Leach, speaker, and guest of James Dunlop.
Ruth is the General Manager Engineering (Retail) of Shell International Petroleum UK, with a staff of thirty, comprising 17 Nationalities.
From the start of this 100 year old AngloDutch company, Ruth covered in a most interesting way many aspects of their business world wide today and her role within the company.
Today Shell take out more gas than oil, which is directing them into an Energy Company. From their first petrol forecourt in California in the 1920’s, designing their Shell logo of red and yellow from the Spanish flag, to V Power, and finally in years to come we could be driving our own Electric cars via WiFi on our Motorways.
