The Haill Six Incorporated Trades of Kirkcudbright held the Kirkin’ of the Deacon Convener ceremony on Sunday 15th October 2017.
A large number of members of the Kirkcudbright Trades were joined by Irvine Incorporated Trades and York Cordwainer.
The colourful procession was led by piper Murray Wylie and marched from the Old Courthouse to the parish Kirk through the ancient streets of the town.
The service was led by Rev John Collard and Deacon Convener Ian D Swan reading the lesson.
An unexpected bonus to the occassion was the performance by The Champions, a song and dance group from South Africa who are currently touring Scotland.
