POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for witnesses after a report of a theft from the empty Corsons Bakers Shop on King Street, Castle Douglas between Friday 17th July and Sunday 19th July.
Between these dates approx 300-400kg of lead has been stolen from a roof of the building.
A Police Spokesperson stated “It is likely the suspects entered via the rear yard/car park area which is accessed from Church Street, between King Street and Cotton Street.
If you saw or heard anything suspicious, have Dash-cam footage that may be worthy of review or have any information that may assist officers with their enquiries, please phone us on 101 and quote ref 2507 of 21st July.”
