Lift Off! Dumfries’ Arctic Rugby duo head for the ‘really frozen north’
Andrew Walker from Lakehead Farm, Closeburn, and Dumfries-born polar adventurer Jock Wishart have started their 5,500 mile journey to the start of their ARCTIC RUGBY CHALLENGE.
The pair joined the rest of the squad at Heathrow airport for their flight to Ottawa. Amongst the other challengers are three other scots: Fergus Davidson John Houston and Steven Turnbull. Together they aim to raise over £300,000 for Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby.
Andrew has a personal target of £25,000. You can help him reach it by donating at: www.justgiving.com/Andrew-Walker87/
