Dumfries’s premier dance school, Body Electric Dance & Soul is about to host its 15th annual senior show. This is the schools 22nd show in just over 9 years, showcasing only their 9-19 years sections. The school which is the largest in the area will see some 200 dancers take to the stage in a evening of Hip Hop, Street & Contemporary Dance.
Proprietor Louise McVie comments ‘ this years show has been brought forward by six months due to the closure of our venue. Our pupils and instructors have been working tirelessly to complete a years work in six months . However the standard remains as high as ever.’
This year Body Electric will wave good-bye to some of its long standing dancers who are now bound for university. Louise says “There will be some inspirational performances performed by our seniors as they take to the stage for the last time, we will sincerely miss them when they leave for university and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their dedication to dance at our school”
Body Electric will present ‘The Ultimate Dance Show 2014’ on Saturday 31st May 2014. Tickets may be obtained at DGone where the show is being held.
Following the senior show of 200 dancers strong, the Body Electric Dance Juniors will take to the stage in June in their annual showcase .
