Stakeholder Consultation as construction resumes at The Garrick
Following the announcement that construction has resumed The Garrick in Stranraer, Loreburn Housing Association are seeking feedback from the local community on the future of the development.
As such, they are inviting Stranraer-based local businesses, third sector organisations, and community groups to an in-person consultation event on Wednesday 31 January 2024 at the North West Castle Hotel.
The redeveloped former hospital site will be home to an employability hub for those aged 16-25, alongside intergenerational housing that features a range of design enhancements that support independence and ageing well at home.
As a part of their ‘Young Person Offer’, Loreburn will also be offering eight young people accommodation and tailored onsite support, with opportunities to train and gain workplace experience.
The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the development plans and share their thoughts and ideas on how the new space can best serve the needs of the local community.
Loreburn are committed to working closely with the Stranraer community to ensure that The Garrick development is a positive addition to the area, providing much-needed affordable housing while supporting local groups and businesses.
Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and engage in discussions with representatives from Loreburn, as well as other local stakeholders.
