POLICE are reminding people to lock their vehicles whilst unattended after a male was disturbed rummaging around an unlocked vehicle about 0030 hours, 20/04/2021 on Mannering Avenue, Lochside, Dumfries.
After Police were contacted the male responsible was traced and arrested nearby, with the stolen property from the vehicle.
He was subsequently charged with theft from a motor vehicle and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A number of other items were also found in possession of this male and enquiries are ongoing to contact their owners who have been identified.
