Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses following an incident that took place on the A76 near to McDonald’s restaurant, Lochside, Dumfries around 3 pm on Sunday 18 March 2018.
A Skoda Fabia car was travelling northbound along the A76 when it stopped in the middle of the road. A man, who had been a passenger in the car, then got out and allegedly began to kick the side of the vehicle. He then proceeded to stand in the middle of the road blocking the car whilst shouting at the female driver.
Police Constable John Donnelly, Dumfries Police Office, said: “Causing a disturbance in the middle of a busy road like this is incredibly dangerous and therefore it is vital that we get to the bottom of what happened.
The area would have been busy at this time and we would be keen for anyone who saw this incident to come forward and contact us. Anyone with information should contact Dumfries Police Office via 101, quoting incident number PDG0055910318. Alternatively, you can contact CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
