MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER SERIOUS ASSAULT – DUMFRIES

Police officers in Dumfries  are appealing for information after a serious assault in the town.
The incident happened around 11.35pm on Tuesday, 25 February, 2025, on Rosevale Street when a 33-year-old man was attacked by two men.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The two men are described as wearing dark clothing.
Sergeant Ross Milligan said: “The man suffered a significant head injury as a result of the attack, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace those responsible.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the area at the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage.
