Local Rescue teams and Police were called out at about 11.15pm on 20th March 2016 to search for a missing 52 year old man from Dalbeattie.
Two Galloway Mountain rescue response vehicles from Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart carried out mobile searches of the tracks and paths in Dalbeattie Wood and Troy, the Search Dog, carried out a search of Barrhill Wood near the town.
The search stood down at 3.30 am s to resume this morning at 8.00am .A team fromMoffat Mountain Rescue and Police Scotland Mountain Rescue joined the search .
The search was called down as missing man turned up safe and well today.
