Dumfriesshire MP David Mundell has welcomed funding awards for two groups in his constituency from Awards for All Scotland totalling £15,000.
The United Reformed Church in Annan was awarded £10,000 and the Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust were given £5,000 in a welcome boost for community groups in the area.
The church will use their grant to upgrade their kitchen and toilet facilities whilst the £5,000 given to Castle Loch Lochmaben Trust will be used to improve the footpath around the Royal Burgh’s Loch.
Commenting David Mundell MP: “I am delighted that community groups in Dumfriesshire have been supported by Awards For All which will make a huge difference to both the United Reformed Church and the Castle Loch Trust.
“This money will be a major boost for people living in the communities of Annan and Lochmaben, particularly the groups who use the church and those who enjoy a walk around the beautiful Castle Loch.
“I know the groups will put this money to good use and I look forward to seeing the improvements at the church and around the Loch in the near future.”
