Murder Enquiry – Dumfries
Police Scotland report that the 44 year old man who was seriously assaulted in the early hours of Saturday 1 August 2015 in Queensberry Street in Dumfries, died in the early hours of Friday 7 August 2015. The man has been named as Daniel Skelton from Blackmoss Drive in Bellshill.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin Burnie of Police Scotland in Dumfries said “sadly the victim died at the Western Infirmary in Edinburgh in the early hours of today and as such this is now a murder enquiry. The Procurator Fiscal has been notified and a post mortem examination is being arranged.”
