Visitors to three attractions in Dumfries and Galloway owned by the National Trust for Scotland have helped them win prestigious TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence for 2015.
The certificates are given to attractions that receive consistently good reviews on the trip planning website for the quality of their service and visitor experience. Visitor comments included:
Broughton House and Garden, Kirkcudbright “Whether you are a Hornel fan or not, Broughton House and Garden is a must see”
Grey Mare’s Tail Nature Reserve, Moffat Water Valley “A great place to spot wildlife and rare plants”
Threave Garden and Estate, Castle Douglas “I didn’t want to leave”
“TripAdvisor is a fantastic tool for us as an organisation,” said Nat Edwards, Assistant Director, Property and Visitor Services. “It lets our people know when they are doing a great job and it keeps us honest when we could do even better. Best of all it tells us all this in a genuine voice – better than any corporate report. ‘Absolute magic!’ what could be better than that?”
Across Scotland, 34 Trust attractions won the Certificate this year.
