This online guide can help you identify 16 of our native seaside flowering plants that can be found on beaches along Dumfries and Galloways Solway Coast , The more you look the more you will find.
The team do state for you to enjoy your search for seashore plants but remember a wild flower always looks better in the ground than in your hand.
You can find flowering plants that have adapted flourish on all different types of seashore in D&G , and to aid identification this guide shows you images of the flowers you are likely to find on our local saltmarsh (merse), sand dunes, shingle banks and rocky coast.
