The Fit Mad mother, relative and daughters group tried their hand at curling last week to go with all the other activities they have tried over the past 8 weeks.
The group, which includes mum and daughters from across the Nithsdale area have already tried Netball, Yoga, country dancing, table tennis, baton twirling and other types of physical activity and will finish with a trip to watch the Women’s Ice Hockey world championships at the Ice Bowl.
The group are also sporting their new hoodies courtesy of Rostrum sportswear and had a visit from Vice-Chair of the Council’s Community and Customer Services Committee, Councillor John Martin, last week who praised the group’s motivation.
Councillor Martin said;
“It was great to see families coming together to stay fit and try new sports and physical activity. As a council we actively support the agenda of raising participation levels in women and girls in sport.”
