Play Talk Read roadshow at Park Children’s Services Centre fun day
As Play Talk Read enters its second week in the region, the double decker playbus Benji will be paying a very special visit to Park Children’s Services Centre, Ashwood Drive, Stranraer on Friday 25th September.
The visit coincides with a fun day at the centre, open to families across Stranraer, where parents, children and other interested members of the community are invited to come along, have some fun.
Amanda Horberry of Dickshill Creche, who is contributing to the fun day, said, “The Children’s Services Centre has lots of fun activities planned, including face painting, lycra play, African drumming, outdoor play, arts and craft activities, and a bouncy castle. It’s not just children who are in for a treat though, there will also be pamper sessions for parents and a wide range of healthy eats and treats for all to enjoy.”
The fun day runs from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm and is aimed at families with children under school age, 0 to 4 years.
Amanda has been contacting local businesses, who have been very generous and supportive with contributions to support our community for this event. This event is also being supported by volunteers who give their time freely.
The bus, which visited Newton Stewart last week, will round off its regional tour on Saturday morning at Wigtown Book Festival.
