Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic crash which happened at around 1725 hours on Wednesday 3 June 2015 on the southbound carriageway of the A74(M) Glasgow to carlisle Road about 3 miles south of the Greenhill Stairs overbridge, Moffat.
A white coloured LDV minibus containing Eight people left the roadway and overturned. As a result emergency services attended to deal with the crash and numerous injured persons from the vehicle. One passenger in the vehicle, a 12 week old baby girl was taken to York Hill Sick Kid Hospital in Glasgow with suspected head injuries. She was being kept in overnight for observations. The driver, a 33 year old man from Milton Keynes, and the other passengers, 16 and 13 year old females and 37, 12, 10 and 8 year old males, all from Milton Keynes, were all taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where they remained overnight with a variety of minor injuries.
The road at the locus was closed for around four hours. Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this crash to get in touch with Police Scotland at Lockerbie on 101.
