POLICE OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses after a woman reported she had been bitten by a dog within Agnew Park, Stranraer around 1 pm on Sunday 31st May.
A police spokesperson said “A woman and her partner were walking their dog when a female and 2 young children, who were walking a dark coloured German Shepherd, approached them.
As the woman went to put her dog on the lead, the German shepherd bit her finger causing her to fall and sustain an injury to her finger.
The female and 2 young children pulled the dog away and walked off in the direction of Broadstones.
The female walking the dark coloured German Shepherd is described as being: White, between 20 and 40 years old, brown/blonde shoulder length hair, slim build wearing a white top and dark coloured sports leggings.
