Police Scotland have had several reports of a group of males attending at various stores across Dumfries and Galloway both yesterday 19th of March and again today Tuesday 20th of March, attempting to buy high-value electrical items and wanting to pay for the goods with £50 notes.
A Police spokesperson said “We are investigating if there is anything criminal in this, however, we certainly think it is suspicious and would ask shops to be on the lookout and extra suspicious of anyone looking to buy high-value items with £50 notes.
