Police Scotland have been made aware that over the past week there has been a male attending at several Villages across Dumfries and Galloway claiming to be selling cleaning products as part of a community payback from a Young Offenders Instiute. He although polite has been a little too pushy with his sales pitch.
A police Spokesperson stated “This is not a scheme that the Prison service is involved in and can the public be mindful not to allow anyone access to their property. There is advice on the police Scotland website for guidance in respect of bogus callers.”
