DRINK DRIVING CAMPAIGN
Police Scotland in Dumfries and Galloway have breath tested nearly 1100 drivers in the first three weeks of the annual festive drink driving campaign. Of those tested, 5 were found to be over the limit. Inspector Neil Hewitson of the Roads Policing Unit says “the campaign will run right through the festive period and our officers will be out and about on all roads across the region in an effort to keep those using our roads safe. Of those caught to date, only one was found to be over the new breath limit, but under the old one. The four others were over the old limit.”
