On Friday 22 August, 2014, Councillor Tom McAughtrie, Chair of the Community and Customer Services Committee will welcome customers and visitors to the new integrated Customer Services facility at Lochmaben Town Hall.
We are improving our services to the public by bringing together Customer Service Centre and the Library to the heart of the local community in Lochmaben.
We have created a facility in the newly refurbished Town Hall on High Street in Lochmaben which will provide access to a wide range of information and services under the one roof. These continue to be delivered by knowledgeable staff to assist with your enquiries.
The following services are available;
• Library services including book lending, local history and genealogy services and free access to computers and the internet.
• Customer services including benefit and council tax enquiries, council information and reporting of faults.
All Council Tax and DGHP Rent payments previously taken through the Council Offices in Lochmaben will be taken at any Paypoint store or Post Office. This gives you increased choice in terms of where and when you wish to make these payments. The range of hours that these facilities are available to take payments runs seven days a week from 7am to 10pm.
Councillor McAughtrie said “I am pleased that the people of the Lochmaben will benefit from such a wonderful facility and I hope the community make use of and enjoy the services on offer.”
Please come along to the Town Hall between 10am and 12noon for a look around on Friday 22 August.
