Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious road crash in Dumfries Town Centre on Saturday 24 December 2016.
Around 2130 hours police received a report of a 19 year old male pedestrian having been struck by a green Vauxhall Adam on Galloway Street at its junction with Glasgow Street.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary before being transferred to Edinburgh Western Infirmary where staff describe his condition as serious.
Inspector Campbell Moffat is asking anyone who witnessed this incident to contact officers from the Divisional Road Policing Unit based at Dumfries.
