Police Scotland is investigating the theft of a quad bike from Wanlockhead village on Tuesday 27 December 2016. Sometime between 2100 hours and 2300 hours on Tuesday night a green coloured Yamaha Grizzly quad bike was stolen from a shed at a house which sits on the main B797 road through Wanlockhead. The bike has the number SF 15 NKT on it and is a 550 cc model. A value has still to be ascertained.
Constable Alan Steel at Sanquhar said “we want to hear from anyone in the village of Wanlockhead who noticed anything suspicious in or around the village on Tuesday night. There is a very short period from when the bike was last seen, to when it was discovered stolen, and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have travelled through the village on the B797 between 2100 hours and 2300 hours to get in touch if they saw anything. Callers can contact police at Sanquhar on the 101 number.”
