Roads Policing Officers are always vigilant and carry out routine stops on a daily basis. Yesterday (March 16th 2023) highlighted a worrying trend in the region.
THREE drivers in different locations (M74, A75 near Annan and Lochside, Dumfries) were stopped and ALL tested positive for Cannabis and/or Cocaine using our drug wipes.
A police spokesperson stated “Drugs can be detected long after taking them, and driving whilst under the influence of drugs is extremely dangerous! You could be involved in a crash, kill yourself or someone else. Your license could be revoked.”
