THREE STILL IN HOSPITAL AFTER LOCKERBIE ROAD CRASH

THREE people, including two 17 year old pupils from Annan Academy , remain in hospital today after their minibus which they were traveling in was  involved a road crash near Kettleholm, Lockerbie, on Monday morning

At about 09.50am  on Monday 9 November 2015 a two vehicle road traffic collision happened on the B723 about one mile south of Lockerbie.

A Renault Modus car being driven by a 72 year old woman from Annan was in collision with a Ford minibus being driven by a 61 year old man from Annan.

As a result the driver of the car was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with a serious leg injury.

The two 17 year female passengers in the minibus were also injured and one was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with a serious leg injury and the other was taken to DGRI with a spinal injury.

All three remain in a stable condition in hospital. The driver of the minibus was taken to DGRI and treated for minor cuts and bruising. The two female passengers in the minibus were Annan Academy school pupils who were travelling to Lockerbie Academy when the collision happened.
