Police Scotland report that three women, aged 32, 31 and 30, all from the London area have been arrested in Dumfries in relation a number of thefts including the recent purse thefts in the town. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Town centre Community Constable Alistair Hope said “we need the public to stay alert and vigilant at this time of year in order help prevent this type of crime happening in the first place. Our patrols will continue through throughout the festive season help deter thieves and if we all work together we can hopefully keep crime out of Christmas.”
