Police Scotland is appealing for information and witnesses following a fatal road crash in Dumfries on Thursday 8 July 2016.
Around 2300 hours, an Audi A6 was travelling on the A710 towards Dumfries when it appears the vehicle lost control, near to Laneside Cottage, and left the road.
Emergency services attended, however a 25 year old man and a 19 year old woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours as crash scene investigators conducted enquiries and examined the scene.
Officers from Road Policing are appealing for any information and appealing to any motorists who may have been on that stretch of road around 11pm last night to contact them at Dumfries Police Office on 101.
