Road Policing officers in Dumfries and Galloway have recovered cannabis, with an estimated street value of around £50,000, following a routine stop on the A74M near Lockerbie.
The recovery involved a Volkswagen Golf, which was stopped near to Junction 17, around 6.40pm on Friday, 16 September, 2022.
Two men – aged 25 and 31 – have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. They are expected to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court today (Saturday, 17 September, 2022).
Sergeant Lloyd Caven, from the Lockerbie Road Policing Unit, said: “This recovery, and the good work involved from officers, shows that we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove illegal drugs from our communities.
