Fatal Road Crash – Port William
Police Scotland is investigating the circumstances surrounding a one vehicle fatal road crash which happened at around 2120 hours on Monday 18 May 2015 on the A747 Glenluce to Glasserton Road at West Barr, Port William, Newton Stewart.
The vehicle involved is a black coloured Vauxhall Corsa car which has collided with a bridge at the locus. As a result an 18 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a 25 year old man was taken to the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer where he later died. A full crash scene investigation is currently being undertaken and the road at the scene is closed.
Police are seeking witnesses to this crash and want to hear from anyone who may have been on the A747 road at around 2120 hours. Witnesses can call police at Stranraer on 101.
