Whithorn based Architect and farmers wife ‘Hazel Smith’ recently held her 40th birthday party in the ‘County Buildings’ in Wigtown. It was a fantastic night ( Team DGWGO were there enjoying themselves ) . Hazel asked her guests and family, instead of giving her personal gifts, to give a donation to her two favourite charities if they wished, and on the night she raise £800 thanks to her guests generosity.
Hazel told DGWGO ” I would like to thank all of my friends & family for attending my 40th Birthday party on Friday 13th of February in the County Buildings, Wigtown. I’m very grateful for all of the wonderful cards, presents and flowers I received and for all of the generous donations to both charities on the night. A fantastic £800 was raised and has been split evenly between the two charities; Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK).’
” One photograph is of me presenting a cheque to my Mum, Margaret Lammie representing the local branch of Marie Curie, the other is of me with a cheque for SAUK, “
