A woman has died following a serious house fire in Annan overnight.
Emergency Services were alerted to the fire around 2.21 am on Friday 11 August 2017. Police, Fire and Ambulance Service all attended the scene and upon arrival found a well-developed fire within the semi-detached house.
A 46 year old female was removed from the premises by Firefighters however died at the scene.
A total of three fire appliances were mobilised to the scene in Addison Place and Firefighters in protective breathing apparatus used high powered hoses to tackle the flames.
A joint Police and Fire Service investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out in due course.”
