POLICE OFFICERS in Dumfries are appealing for information following an assault on Gilbrae Road around 1700 hours, Thursday 2nd June 2022.
A group of youths made up of around 4/5 males and 1 female assaulted a young boy near to Georgetown Library.
A police spokesperson stated “The young boy managed to escape unharmed and ran along Barnton Road.
Police are appealing for any persons who were within the Calside Road, Gilbrae Road or Barnton Road areas that may have observed this group of youths. One male youth was described as wearing a grey hooded top.”
