A Researcher from the BBC ‘The One Show’ contacted DGWGO today to ask us to help spread the word that they are on the search for contributors from Dumfries and Galloway for two separate films:
1) For a short film being made as a tribute to The Queen’s 90th birthday, I’m looking for individuals who share her birthday – the 21st April 1926 (or within a day or two) – and would be willing to have a research phone call .
2) I’m also looking for anyone with a relative who worked in Dorothee Pullinger’s all female Arrol-Johnston car factory in Tongland, Kirkcudbright in the 1920s manufacturing the Galloway automobile.
