Dumfries-based radio station Alive 107.3 announced today that radio veteran Rab Smith will be the new host of Alive Friday Drive from Friday, January 8th 2016.
Rab will be the show’s new regular host, taking over from the award-nominated Aaron Kelly.
“Rab has been involved in the radio industry for over three decades, both on air, in production, and behind the scenes. He brings a depth of experience and knowledge to the station that we have not had before,” says Alive 107.3’s programme manager, Lee Medd. “Rab’s ability to understand our audience will allow him to deliver an engaging and entertaining show – the ideal way to get you home on a Friday and a great start your weekend.”
Rab says: “It’s great to be joining Alive 107.3 to host Friday Drive. The station has really been growing and has a great reputation in the community.
“Friday Drive is a fantastic show. Aaron Kelly has been great at building the audience and I look forward to helping the listeners start their weekend with a bang. Who knows what will happen? Sometimes not even I know, the only way to find out is by tuning in Fridays from 4pm to Alive 107.3!”
