On Friday 10th May, The Guild of Players join forces with Dumfries Musical Theatre Company and local singing group LOKA to pay tribute to Joyce Ferguson, a loyal and valued member of the Guild.
Joyce was a member of The Guild of Players from the 1960s onward and was for many years its chief Set Designer. To celebrate her life in the theatre, the Guild presents an evening of music, poetry and scenes from the plays Joyce helped to produce, with contributions from LOKA and DMTC. Extracts from Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay and The Steamie will be performed, as will some of Joyce’s favourite plays.
Join Joyce’s friends at this celebration and after the show in the theatre bar, where examples of Joyce’s designs can be seen.
