This coming Saturday 14th of September, the inaugural HIDDEN GEM FESTIVAL is set to take over four of the most iconic pubs in Dumfries for a day of non-stop live music.
With acts hailing from both Dumfries and Galloway and the rest of Scotland, the day
promises to be unforgettable, as the community comes together to celebrate the
incredible talent that we have right here on our doorstep. Audiences can expect a
diverse programme of artists across Riverside Tap and The Dougie Arms on Friars’
Vennel, Coach and Horses on the Whitesands, and historic venue White Hart.
From emerging local acts such as RHELM, The High Priestess and Palliro, to the
veterans of our local music scene Tiderays and The Mind Sweepers, alongside our acts
from across the nation, Soapbox, Bruach and many more. The day oQers music for all
tastes.
Hidden Gem Festival is working in collaboration with Riverside Tap to bring to you a
specially brewed festival beer, “RIVERSIDE ROCKS”. Andrew from Riverside Tap told us,
“It is a 4% easy drinking Pale Ale. It is the first of many planned collaborative ventures
with Borderlands Brewery in the new Beer Without Borders brewery we are in the
process of setting up in Dumfries.” Riverside Rocks will be available to purchase in
Riverside Tap on Saturday 14th September from 12pm.
This FREE PUB FESTIVAL has been set up to encourage locals to get down to the pub,
enjoy some live music and have a beer with friends. Join us for a beer, a laugh and to
help put Dumfries back on the map as a welcoming, community driven music
destination.
