Bound together by geography, and to celebrate this significant milestone, the team at Dabton House have proudly collaborated with Claxton’s to deliver their very own bespoke limited edition whisky bottling, to re-create treasured luxury moments and representing all that the house hopes to share: warm welcomes, lively gatherings, happy memories and special stories shared by the hearth, in the heart of Dumfriesshire.
As part of this exciting moment, the house also proudly launches its exclusive whisky experiences, adding a new chapter to its remarkable journey, curating unforgettable experiences for guests to savour.
From the start, Dabton House has been more than just a luxurious destination—it has been a venue where cherished memories have been made. Over the past year, the house has witnessed love stories blossom as couples exchanged vows amidst its picturesque grounds. Sporting enthusiasts have savoured fine dining against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery, while musical events have filled the house with harmony and joy. Birthdays have been celebrated in grand style, and corporate gatherings have seen teams bond and connect like never before. Families have experienced the ultimate in relaxation during our tranquil retreats. Each event has woven a unique thread into the tapestry of Dabton House’s rich history.
And now, one year on, guests can toast these memorable experiences with the introduction of Dabton’s own signature whisky, crafted to embody the elegance and tradition synonymous with the house to mark this milestone on its first anniversary. This carefully curated spirit is a celebration of both time-honoured whisky-making techniques and the vibrant spirit of the house.
With a focus on their shared locality and bringing alive the true spirit of the South of Scotland, Claxton’s have produced 139 bottles of this special limited edition Dabton whisky. The 16 year old single malt has sweet warm tasting notes from the tawny port cask, reminiscent of fireside evenings at Dabton House. The collaboration with Claxtons’ allowed Dabton’s team to be involved in every step of the process, from selecting the cask to designing the label. The aim was to create a whisky that is accessible to both whisky enthusiasts and newcomers to the spirit.
Dabton House’s Operations Manager, Alasdair Knight, said: “We were committed from the outset to work with one of the country’s finest Independent Bottlers, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with our close neighbours at Claxton’s to create our own limited-edition single malt bottling, we knew it was the perfect fit”.
Each 70cl bottle is hand-numbered and is now available to purchase directly from Dabton House or enjoyed by the glass, by the fire in the Drawing room or as part of the new ‘Ultimate Luxury Whisky Experience’ which complements this launch.
The introduction of the tailored ‘Ultimate Luxury Whisky Experience’ allows whisky enthusiasts to savour and explore the nuances of Dabton’s new whisky while enjoying the unparalleled luxury and charm of Dabton House.
