Taking place on the 5th June 2022, the 1st Dumfries International Street Food Festival will be a community celebration of diverse food, drink and culture as it hopes to put Dumfries on the Scottish Street Food Map!
The family friendly festival aims to showcase both local and international produce and flavours, as well as educating and promoting sustainable, environmentally-friendly food.
Organised by “Massive Outpouring of Love” (MOOL) the Dumfries and Galloway Refugee charity, DISFFEST is a street food festival with a difference as it is not just about food, but about bringing people together, community integration and celebration!
David Formstone, chair of MOOL said, “We are delighted that our vision for launching the first Dumfries Street Food Festival has been announced today- and on Valentine’s Weekend- the ultimate massive outpouring of love time. We can’t wait to shine a spotlight on some of the amazing community organisations we have here, but also welcome makers, bakers and of course eager tasters to the festival! I know the people of Dumfries will get right behind us and we can’t wait to spread some much needed joy after a tough 24 months for everyone.”
