Wigtown and Bladnoch Food Festival 2015 is this weekend
The second annual Wigtown and Bladnoch Food Festival will be held this weekend in the County Buildings, Wigtown.
Programme of events –
Saturday
We are very pleased to have these fantastic talks in the Supper Room on the Saturday of the Wigtown and Bladnoch Food Festival. All these talks are free, we just ask you to turn up at least ten minutes before the start but please don’t be disappointed if the room is full.
12pm – Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere “a short introduction”
1pm – Supporting Fairtrade ‘Does it have to be more than drinking coffee and eating chocolate” – The struggles and successes of a Fairtrade Village
2pm – Cream o’ Galloway “Milking it” – the history of the Cream o’ Galloway to the current crisis in the conventional dairy industry.
3pm – Angela Hurrell ‘Garrocher Market Garden, a change to Scotland’s First Lowland Tea Garden”
5pm – Cheese ‘n Ale tasting followed by a Ploughmans at Beltie Books, Wigtown (ticketed event)
Sunday
Four talented chefs will hold intimate cooking demonstration in the Supper Room. Tickets available from The Box of Frogs, Wigtown and online.

We are also pleased to have the following events held in the gardens on the Sunday for children –
13:00 to 14:00 we will have the Emma Louise Dance Club for fun dance session set to Pop music. For primary aged children, younger children must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet Petal and the Gang in the Gardens for stories, songs and activities including making little bird houses, planting a garden & exploring the osprey nest with Karen and Phillipa from the National Theatre of Scotland
